Fear grips me
My heart beats faster
And pain claws at me.
What have I done
To this man so dear?
Is ruin inevitable?
Doubt clouds my mind.
How long can he love me?
What loyalty and dedication
Can withstand such difficulties?
This man so tender, so loving,
keeps my heart beating desperately
and yet I feel the threads loosen.
How I love him
but I put up walls
to protect this feable heart.
But the walls suffocate
For my heart beats stronger
with his next to mine.
Walls so high, so thick.
Why do I protect myself?
for he is no enemy.
Please don't give up,
break down these needless walls,
Re-unite the hearts which,
together, beat a rhythm divine.
